TL;DR: Scandawn is an alarm clock with wake-up missions. We work hard to make alarms reliable, but iOS, your settings or your device can stop an alarm — don't rely on the App alone for anything critical. Pro is optional; subscriptions renew until you cancel in your Apple Account settings.
By using Scandawn (the "App") you agree to these Terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"). If these Terms and the Standard EULA conflict, the Standard EULA applies.
The App schedules alarms that you dismiss by completing a mission (for example scanning a code, walking, solving math, repeating a pattern or typing a phrase). It also shows wake-up history, streaks and an optional morning plan.
Alarms depend on iOS and on your device. An alarm may not ring, or may ring quietly, if permissions are turned off, the device is off or out of battery, the volume is low, Silent mode mutes notifications on older iOS versions, or the operating system changes behaviour. The App includes a reliability check and a test alarm — please use them. Do not rely on the App as your only alarm for flights, medication, exams or anything where missing it could cause harm or loss.
Choose missions that are safe where you sleep. Don't place codes anywhere that requires climbing, going outside in the dark or other risky actions, and don't walk while not fully awake if that is unsafe for you. You are responsible for how and where you complete missions.
The App, its design, code, illustrations and sounds belong to the developer or are used under licence. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes as allowed by the Standard EULA.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, including that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any alarm will ring. The App is not a medical device and does not give medical or sleep-health advice.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages — including being late, missed appointments, travel or financial loss — arising from use of, or inability to use, the App, including a missed or delayed alarm. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
We may update these Terms. The "Effective" date shows the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
